Stephanie Berry

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Growing up in Harlem during the 1960s, I was immersed in a time of profound political and cultural upheaval. It was here that my seeds of creativity and purpose were planted. The era's tumult—marked by the Vietnam War, civil rights protests, the heroin epidemic, and an ongoing search for identity—was reflected in the vibrant music, powerful paintings, sidewalk speeches, and emerging literary voices that shaped my world. I found my voice through the arts.

I have dedicated my life to exploring and celebrating African American history and contemporary stories through theater. As a veteran actor, I’ve traveled across the country, bringing to life a diverse array of groundbreaking productions. These journeys have broadened my perspective, fueled my passions and deepened my commitment to advocacy.

I am passionately committed to highlighting issues of injustice for marginalized voices. It is my belief that the extraordinary stories of ordinary people deserve to be told. My strong ties to my community—and the many communities I’ve encountered—continue to inspire and drive my creative endeavors.
